D70 Review - Digital Photography Review

Another favorite site to get input on digital camera equipment.  See digitial photography review.

Nikon D70 User's Manual

A "Must Have" for any new D70 user.  Thom Hogan is a well regarded and extensively published author on all camera equipment.  I particularly like the fact that he writes with "attitude" and has very distinct opinions on setup, usefullness of options, etc.  I learned a bunch by just going through it for the first time.  See his site, review of the D70 and the manual.

Nikon User's Group

A very good user group where you can find out just about anything about your Nikon Camera.  See the Nikonian User Group.

Mossberg on Digital Camera Selection

A good review by Walter Mossberg on selecting a digital camera.  Mossberg Annual Guide to Buying 042005 .

If you enjoy photography and have been an regular 35mm user - consider the 35mm digital.  Nikon D70 if you've been a Nikon user or Canon EOS10D if you're a canon user.  (you can use your existing lenses).

If you aren't a technology person (your VCR still blinks 12 or you've never found a reason to 'program' your VCR to record) stick to a "point and shoot".  Pick one that is small and convenient so you take it almost everywhere.  Don't fall for the "more megapixels" is better and buy at least a 256mb or 512mb card.

Then, shoot away and take the card into Walgreens to develop.  It is far cheaper and easier to do this than to print them on your computer!
